Davis Point Lodge and Outfitting Ltd. is a family run operation which has been in business since 1982. It was started by Peter Kalden at that time. His son, Alex, has been involved in the daily operations since the early 1990’s and has taken over the operation in 2006.
We have always prided ourselves on remaining a relatively small operation that pays attention to each individual hunter’s needs. Over the years, many of our guests have become close friends, as is evidenced by our large number of return clientele. Our current guides have also been a part of the operation for over a decade. We have always done our utmost in making your stay as comfortable as possible, while striving to give you the best opportunity at a trophy class animal and memorable experience. Outfitting is our full time, year round job. We are all avid hunters and truly enjoy the outdoors.
We have been working closely with Cabela’s Outdoor Adventures since 2002 and have formed a very favorable working relationship with them as our sole booking agent.
Davis Point Lodge has been a long time member of Safari Club International (SCI) and we have donated hunts to the Northeast Michigan Chapter of this organization for the past 15 years. We have also been a member of the Manitoba Lodges and Outfitters Association (MLOA) since its inception.
