I began my outdoor experience hunting and fishing at a young age. As time passed, fishing became my focus. My experiences in fishing have taken me across Texas, The Florida Keys, Colorado, Washington State, California, Oregon, Alaska and The Bahamas, Costa Rica ,Belize and the Yucatan peninsula of Mexico in Costa Maya. I have fly fished in all these locations and continue to add new locales every year!
As a full time resident of Rockport, Texas I have the opportunity to spend numerous days on the water. By spending time on the water I have the ability to establish fishing patterns, based on tidal movement, weather and wind conditions. I am a member of the Coastal Bend Guides Association, CCA , GRTU (Guadalupe River Trout Unlimited) and The Rockport Fly Fishers and the Rockport Chamber of Commerce.
I have been fishing on the Texas Coast all of my life and about 25 years ago, fly fishing caught my attention. I decided to fly fish the saltwater in and around Rockport TX. Fly fishing and wading the shallow flats and bays have become my passion.While I still use conventional techniques to fish the Texas Coast, I love to educate and expose people to my favorite sport of fly fishing. The idea of wade fishing and getting away from the confines of the boat is remarkable. Stepping into nature and putting yourself one-on-one with the fish is exhilarating!
