Sitka is a small community located on the outer coast of the Alaska Panhandle, also known as Southeast Alaska. Sitka Sound, our fishing grounds, extends into the main migration path of the mighty King Salmon. This may well be the reason Sitka provides the best King Salmon fishing anywhere along the Pacific coast.
All five species of salmon are found in the Sitka area and includes the incredible Coho (Silver Salmon). The famed Pacific Halibut is found in the same waters along the outer coast of Sitka and provides the sportsman with some of the finest bottom fishing anywhere. Many other bottom fish such as Lingcod, Red Snapper and a variety of Rockfish, are also plentiful and available to the fisherman. Sitka truly is Alaska’s premier fishing grounds.
