The Ekalauk River Camp is right on an incredible Arctic Char migration route. Fresh from the ocean less than 2 miles away these char are extremely large and powerful. The Ekaluk River empties Ferguson Lake on Victoria Island, near Cambridge Bay, Nunavut. Fly fishing for Arctic Char is all wading and ideal for two-handed Spey casters. Fishing trips take place the last week of August and the first two weeks of September. Accommodations are in permanent cabins located 50 yards from the river. A separate dining hall is for meals and nightly gatherings.
