In 2003 I started Freelance Outdoor Adventures after 10 years of guiding hunters and fishermen in Alaska, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, and Mexico. I married my beautiful bride in January of 2004. We had many options but the good Lord led us to Alaska, where we have made our home. Nikki now has several trophy animals of her own. She gave up teaching to help run our business and raise our family. Our son Stryder, ten, now has his first grizzly, goat, and bison. Our daughter Keelie, eight, will be doing her first moose hunt this year. We bought Cinder River Lodge down on the Alaska Peninsula in 2010, which added brown bear to our hunt portfolio. I try to spend as much time as possible in the field guiding hunters and fishermen. Nikki is heavily involved in the business, taking care of the office duties and corresponding with the clients, along with being a mom and a wife. We feel very fortunate to have been able to surround ourselves with great guides and pilots within our business.
I’m often asked how many years I’ve been guiding hunts. I think the important question is, how many successful hunts have I guided. With over 90 Sheep and Goat, and 80 Brown Bear/Grizzly Bear guided kills, I’m starting to get a little experience. With many years of knowledge and experience, excellent guides, and our outgoing personalities, we believe we can put together one of the greatest experiences you’ll ever have.
